I have a Nook Simple Touch that I love very much. I am an avid reader, and I love reading fiction. Before I have this device, I used to buy a couple of books every months. My room was (and is!) full of books and I was unhappy because my room was small and because of the humidity, the books' pages turned yellow and there were moulds. There went my plan to give the books to the next generation.
Thanks to Nook, I have now rare books people shared at internet. With e-paper screen, my eyes do not suffer even though I have read for hours.
In the last few days I had this big trouble. I usually searched ebooks with my desktop computer and saved the files into the harddisk, then transferred them into Nook simply by connecting via USB cable. This time it seemed that my Nook was empty. The Book folder contained nothing, said the computer. But actually there were 250+ books in it. I was upset because it seemed I could not add more books. Even my Garth Williams screensaver was gone.
Then I downloaded this Adobe Digital Edition program to my computer. Again I connected my Nook to my computer and this time, my computer could read those books in my Nook and I could add new books. *relieved* Money is tight and I cannot afford to buy a new device now.
I don't know what had happened that now I need this program. I hate installing more programs in my computer.
